Innovation just got a boost at BIOWAX GHANA LTD!
We’re thrilled to announce a major step forward in our mission to revolutionize food preservation in Ghana. Our innovative edible wax solution—which helps extend the shelf life of perishable produce like tomatoes—is now one step closer to reality, thanks to the generous support of the Design Thinking and Innovation Hub.
We have received essential funding to develop our Minimum Viable Product (MVP)—a simplified, functional version of our solution that will allow us to test, improve, and validate the product with real users. This critical phase brings us closer to full-scale production and widespread impact.

This funding is more than just financial support—it’s a catalyst for change. It empowers us to continue tackling the challenges of post-harvest losses, food spoilage, and agricultural inefficiencies. More importantly, it positions us to create meaningful job opportunities for rural farmers, market women, and unemployed youth in Ghana.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) for creating an enabling environment that continues to nurture young innovators and Agripreneur like us.
